Manny K. Nine

OUR Mascot

Manny K. Nine

Manny was born in 1993 to Flossy and Terrinse Nines in Grin Bay, Wisconsin. After losing their home to heavy snowdrifts, they tried finding jobs in Massachewsetts. The parents suffered in poor health, then sent Manny to live with his elderly Aunt, Pearly Whites, in a small community in Brushy Mountain, Tennessee. As a toddler, when his adult teeth started to emerge, his baby teeth simply moved over to make room for them, resulting in many teeth and an accommodating jaw. Otherwise, his childhood was unremarkable, with a few exceptions. At the Spring Carnival, he always expertly manned the kissing booth, able to kiss five people at once. In the summer, he always won the pig-calling contest with his three-part harmony whistle. At Halloween, he always won the apple bobbing contest. In fact, he won a trivia prize in high school for saying "smiles" is the longest word in the dictionary because there is a mile between both the s's. In his early twenties, Pearly suffered a fatal accidental fall on the stairs, and Manny was on his own.

As he grew into adulthood, he entered a mayoral race but lost because his opponent in the debate kept brushing him aside. This picture captures him at a tender moment when he heard of a great dentist in Donelson, Dr. Janet. Not only does he get excellent, painless service, but unlike all other dentists, she only charges him for one set of teeth.
